İngilizce : MECCA ALLIANCE REINFORCES SAUDI DEFENSE AMID REGIONAL ESCALATION

RIYADH — Defense and foreign ministers of the Mecca Alliance convened for an extraordinary summit in Riyadh on Monday, October 5, taking concrete steps to bolster Saudi Arabia’s national security against mounting regional threats linked to the conflict in Yemen.

Following the high-level meeting, participating nations issued a joint declaration—released by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs—outlining immediate collective defense measures. Under the new resolution, military personnel and strategic defense assets from both Turkey and Pakistan will be swiftly deployed to the Kingdom to reinforce Saudi border security and critical infrastructure.

The joint statement emphasized a shared commitment to actionable defense cooperation, confirming that member states agreed to "act immediately to operationalize collective defense commitments, providing agreed military capabilities and ensuring their rapid transfer to the Kingdom."

Addressing the outcomes on social media platform X, the Saudi Minister of Defense highlighted that the emergency gathering demonstrated "the unity and solidarity of our nations in the face of heinous attacks targeting the Kingdom and holy sites."

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan underscored the urgency of the talks when addressing reporters after the summit. "We convened extraordinarily today due to recent developments evolving within the Yemen–Saudi Arabia equation," Fidan stated, noting that discussions focused primarily on concrete military support dedicated strictly to safeguarding Saudi sovereign territory

The joint deployment marks a significant operational shift in regional security cooperation, signaling a unified posture among allied nations as security conditions surrounding the Yemeni conflict continue to deteriorate.

TURKEY'S TOP DIPLOMACY AND DEFENSE OFFICIALS CONVENE IN RIYADH FOR TRILATERAL SECURITY SUMMIT

A high-level delegation from Turkey, led by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, and Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, attended the Strategic Political and Defense Committee meeting held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

The high-stakes session was organized as part of the implementation framework of the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense, a trilateral defense pact established among Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. Top-ranking military and diplomatic officials from both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were also present alongside their Turkish counterparts

Discussions focused primarily on assessing recent security dynamics in the region and evaluating the formal institutionalization process of the trilateral defense alliance.

This summit builds upon previous foundational work: the inaugural session of the Strategic Political and Defense Committee was held in Istanbul on August 31, 2026. The latest talks in Riyadh serve as a direct continuation of ongoing efforts to deepen political, military, and strategic defense collaboration among the three allied nations.

İngilizce | Western Powers Condemn Israeli Plan for 1,200 New Settlement Units in Occupied West Bank

LONDON — A group of major Western powers has strongly condemned Israel's plans to issue tenders for the construction of approximately 1,200 new settler housing units in a strategically vital area of the occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada described the decision as "unacceptable" and called on the Israeli government to "immediately reverse these plans."

The coordinated diplomatic rebuke highlights growing international concern over the expansion of settlements, which allies warn further jeopardizes the viability of a two-state solution and undermines regional stability.
